Photo Attacks Against Sathya Sai Baba

ROBERT PRIDDY (a laughable critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba) had the audacity to criticize Gerald Joe Moreno for “manipulating” images of Ex-Devotees and creating images of a “pornographic kind”. Robert Priddy clearly contrasted himself as an ethical and moral individual who does not support or endorse “manipulated” images or other images of a “pornographic kind”. As a matter of fact, pseudo-moralist Robert Priddy said about Gerald Joe Moreno:

Robert Priddy: “The impostor Gerald Moreno, who actually writes under the name of sathyasaibaba on his wordpress blog, himself manipulates images (here is his most vulgar masterpiece where he hides behind the names Equalizer and Premaperme) and distorting people’s faces!”

Robert Priddy: “Last but far from least, he posts photos of critics of Sai Baba with distorted faces and added bodies of a pornographic kind!”

BARRY PITTARD (another laughable critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba) similarly criticized Gerald Joe Moreno for “photo attacks” and “diabolizing photo alterations” against Ex-Devotees. Barry Pittard clearly contrasted himself as an ethical and moral individual who does not support or endorse “photo attacks” and “diabolizing photo alterations” against others.

This article will conclusively prove that Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy are self-serving hypocrites who not only fully endorse other’s “photo attacks”, “diabolizing photo alterations”, “manipulated images” and “images of a pornographic kind” against Sathya Sai Baba, they themselves create, disperse and publish “photo attacks”, “diabolizing photo alterations” and “manipulated images” against Sathya Sai Baba and others as well.

Beginnings: Sanjay Dadlani’s Photo Attacks Against Sathya Sai Baba

The issue of “photo attacks” began in December 2005 when Sanjay Dadlani (an Ex-Devotee) published photoshopped images of Sathya Sai Baba on his “Sai Baba Exposed” blog taken from the India Corporate Watch Blog and from other internet sources (Refs: 01 – 02). As a result of Sanjay Dadlani’s photo-attacks against Sathya Sai Baba, an anonymous person using the pseudonym “PremaPerm” took offence and created the following photoshopped images of Sanjay Dadlani: 01 – 02 – 03 – 04 – 05 – 06 – 07 – 08. Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy continually foam-at-the-mouth over these images and repeatedly reference them against Gerald Moreno (a Pro-Sai Activist). Click thumbnail to enlarge:

Moreno created this composite image of Sanjay Dadlani and instead of being upset with Moreno, Sanjay Dadlani actually thought the image was funny and used the image as his profile picture for almost two years on his Sai Baba Exposed blog. Although Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy act as proxy spokespersons for Sanjay Dadlani, they purposely suppress relevant information about him (which will be discussed in-depth later in this article). Additionally, Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy continually foam-at-the-mouth over this picture of Reinier van der Sandt that Moreno published on his saisathyasai.com domain.

When Sanjay Dadlani decided to publish photoshopped images attacking Sathya Sai Baba, Ex-Devotees thought it was funny! As a matter of fact, Sanjay Dadlani said:

Comic Humour: Even in the midst of seriousness, there is always a place for a time-out to take a breather and have a snack. In this vein, a fellow blogger has informed me of his own blog where he has lampooned Sai Baba with glee with the aid of comical images. Hope these give you a good belly laugh as they did me!

Taking It With A Smile: Since we’re all in the mood for light-heartedness, a respondent has sent me more pictures, Enjoy.

The photoshopped images of Sanjay Dadlani were similarly meant to be “light-hearted” and intended for “good belly laughs” (many people thought they were funny!). Needless to say, once the tables were turned against Ex-Devotees, they did not think it was funny and they have been shrieking shrilly, stomping their feet, pounding their chests in baboon fashion and flaring their nostrils ever since.

Ex-Devotee’s Self-Serving Hypocrisy And Double Standards

It is an irrefutable fact that Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy have never expressed any concern, disgust or outrage at the “photo attacks”, “diabolizing photo alterations”, “manipulated images” and “images of a pornographic kind” created, published and disseminated by Critics & Ex-Devotees against Sathya Sai Baba. The reason why pseudo-moralists Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy have never (ever) objected to photo attacks against Sathya Sai Baba is because they themselves create, publish and disseminate “photo attacks”, “diabolizing photo alterations” and “manipulated images” against Sathya Sai Baba and others on the internet.

Apparently, a drawing of Sathya Sai Baba receiving oral sex from a child underneath his robe, Sathya Sai Baba made to look like a monkey and Sathya Sai Baba holding a barbell with his penis meet Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy wholesome standard of “morality”. The following images “of a pornograhic kind” were posted by Reinier Van Der Sandt (a known friend & associate of Pittard & Priddy) on the SSB2 Yahoo Group (which is currently deactivated).

Reinier Van Der Sandt is the same associate of Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy who openly boasted about viewing child pornography and who openly admitted to using numerous fake names (including Moreno’s name). RFJ Sandt is also the same person who libeled Gerald Moreno as being sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba and who stole Moreno’s entire saisathyasai.com domain. To Date: Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy have yet to say a single word against their friend and associate Reinier van der Sandt and his proven perversions and defamations.

A colorized version of RFJ Sandt’s oral sex image was posted on Sanjay Dadlani’s claimed blogs: saibabaexposed & saibabatribune. As a matter of fact, Sanjay Dadlani (the Ex-Devotee that Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy ceaselessly defend and endorse) posted this picture “of a pornographic kind” (black bar added by Moreno) under the name “Azra’iL” (among several other sexually suggestive pictures of women) on the Gaudiya-Repercussions website. Sanjay subsequently changed his “Azra’iL” nic to “Brainiac”, changed his featured blog from “SaiBabaExposed” to “NeuroWhoa!” and removed the picture but left the link (Ref: Post #6). Sanjay Dadlani is the same friend and associate of Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy who was caught photographing teenagers, women and female students at Middlesex University under tables and up their dresses and posting those pictures on his StreetBitches Blog. To Date: Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy adamantly refuse to say one word about Sanjay Dadlani’s sexually deviant and stalking behaviors and photographs of a “pornographic kind”. Instead, Robert Priddy publicly defends Sanjay Dadlani and Barry Pittard referred to Sanjay Dadlani as “very intelligent”, “hard-working” and “writing perceptive exposures of Sai Baba and his sect”.

Sanjay Dadlani posted on the QuickTopic Forum (using multiple fake names, including female names) and made disgusting posts under the name “Marquis de Sade” about a large penis for anal sex, a feces-covered anus, bestiality, people vomiting into each other’s mouths and a Priest ejaculating on the face of a little girl as related by her brother. Sanjay even posted under the name “kick his head in” and said that someone should murder Sathya Sai Baba (of course, this is the same guy who rejoiced when a Sai Baba temple was bombed). Nice friend you got there, Pittard & Priddy!

Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy adamantly refuse to say one word about the following images of a “pornographic kind” posted on the kheper.net domain belonging to Alan Kazlev (another known friend and associate of Pittard & Priddy):

Barry Pittad and Robert Priddy obviously drool over these images that they apparently consider “decent” and “appropriate” because they have never (ever) voiced a single complaint against these images despite their pseudo-moralistic blathering against images of a “pornographic kind”. It is apparent that cartoon-like pictures of prostitutes posing seductively meet Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy’s wholesome views on morality and decency.

Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy have yet to say one word about Alan Kazlev’s penchant to tell raunchy and pornographic stories about erect penises, wanton sex and obscene references to women as being “cunts” (Ref)! As a matter of fact, when Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy attempt to defend themselves against Joe Moreno (a Pro-Sai Activist) they direct their readers to Reincarnator, New Age Advocate and Grungy Integral Philosopher: Alan Kazlev’s website (located at kheper.net). Don’t expect Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy to divulge these facts.

Psuedo-moralist Robert Priddy published this disgusting and malicious picture of Leo Rebello on his former angeltowns domain (click thumbnail to enlarge):

Robert Priddy’s angeltowns account was deleted in its entirety due to a $1,000,000 legal threat for defamation by Leo Rebello. Barry Pittard endorsed Robert Priddy’s malicious photo-attacks against Leo Rebello and continually vouches for Priddy’s so-called “honesty” and “integrity”.

Barry Pittard whined considerably about this Grinch “photo alteration” of Robert Priddy created by Moreno. About this picture, Barry Pittard said:

Barry Pittard: The following three Gerald Joe Moreno hand-crafted distortions of Robert Priddy are from Moreno’s questionably-named blogsite ‘Sathya Sai Baba – Life, Love and Spirituality’.

Needless to say, the manipulated picture of Robert Priddy has never been published on Moreno’s ‘Sathya Sai Baba – Life, Love and Spirituality’ WordPress blog. The composite image was published on Moreno’s Robert Priddy Exposed Blog. As a matter of fact, Barry Pittard’s screencap was taken from Moreno’s blogger page (not his WordPress blog) as evidenced by the background. Apparently, Barry Pittard’s mental faculties are failing him as he is wholly unable to differentiate between two completely different blogs with two completely different backgrounds.

Robert Priddy published this image of Moreno (making him look like a masked terrorist) on his Anti-Baba WordPress blogs (which WordPress subsequently forced him to delete due to copyright infringement). Barry Pittard approved of Robert Priddy’s photo attack against Moreno and even linked to the article that contained that picture:

• WHY did Robert Priddy “photo attack” Moreno when he publicly speaks out against this type of reprehensible behavior? Why did Robert Priddy think it is was entirely appropriate and correct for him to create and publish a “manipulated” image against Moreno but that it is was entirely inappropriate and incorrect when Moreno created and published a “manipulated” image against Robert Priddy?
• WHY does Barry Pittard condemn Moreno for creating a “manipulated” image of Robert Priddy yet says absolutely nothing about Robert Priddy’s “manipulated” image of Moreno?

Furthermore, Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy publicly approved Reinier Van Der Sandt’s manipulated image of Sathya Sai Baba holding hands with Idi Amin, posted the “manipulated” picture on their Anti-Baba WordPress blogs and publicly defended Reinier Van Der Sandt for having created it (click thumbnail to enlarge)!

As a small example, Robert Priddy even posted the following pictures on his Anti-Sai WordPress blog. The first picture calls Sathya Sai Baba “ugly, imperious and turkey-necked” and the second picture is a purposely distorted picture of Sathya Sai Baba (click thumbnail to enlarge):

What was that again about Robert Priddy’s complaints against people who “manipulate” and “distort” pictures of others? Robert Priddy is a yellow-bellied hypocrite with proof! Far be it for Robert Priddy to criticize others about their looks when he looks like he is turning into The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (See For Yourself). Far be it for bald-bird Barry Pittard to criticize others about their looks when he looks decades older than Sathya Sai Baba and when his “turkey throat” migrated north and sought refuge under his eyes as bulging eye bags (click thumbnail to enlarge):

Why doesn’t Barry Pittard express any outrage about Robert Priddy’s “photo attacks” and “diabolizing photo alterations” against Sathya Sai Baba? Perhaps because Barry Pittard himself engages in “photo attacks” and posts “diabolizing photo alterations” on his WordPress blog. A small sampling (click thumbnail to enlarge):

In the first picture above, Barry Pittard publicly approved Reinier Van Der Sandt’s manipulated image of Sathya Sai Baba holding hands with Idi Amin, posted the “manipulated” picture on his Anti-Sai WordPress blog and publicly defended Reinier Van Der Sandt for having created it! In the second picture above, Barry Pittard posted a purposely distorted picture of Sathya Sai Baba on his WordPress blog (attempting to deceive readers into thinking the picture was an original photo published on the SaiBabaOfIndia domain). The third and fourth pictures are typical “photo attacks” published on Barry Pittard’s Anti-Baba WordPress blog. Barry Pittard even attacks and publishes pictures of people who are not involved in the Sai Controversy.

What was that again about Barry Pittard’s complaints about “photo attacks” and “diabolizing photo alterations”? Barry Pittard is also a yellow-bellied hypocrite with proof!

Robert Priddy purposely suppresses the fact that his own son, Kai Nicolai Priddy, played in a rock band that used dildos and transvestites as theatrics and also worked as an engineer for a music group whose CD cover depicts a nude man covering his penis with his hands (Ref). One will not find a single grunt of dissapproval coming from pseudo-moralist Robert Priddy about his own son’s involvment with kink and “images of a pornographic kind”. So when Robert Priddy foams-at-the-mouth, gnashes his teeth and shrieks about “manipulated” & “distorted” images and images of a “pornographic kind”, one can’t help but to laugh at loud at him and his self-righteous posturing.

Despite Barry Pittard’s amusing attempts to publicly present himself as a moralist and purist, he miserably failed to explain why he permitted his 12-year-old son Sai Isa to friend a 21 year-old nudist on Myspace named Sahra who posted a soft-porn image of her nude body (baring a breast that has a pierced nipple) as her MySpace background! Since Sai Isa is living with Barry Pittard and since Barry Pittard is well aware of his son’s MySpace account, one can only wonder why the moralist and purist Barry Pittard is not shielding his 12-year-old son from graphic, sexual and inappropriate content on MySpace. Perhaps Barry Pittard drools over his son’s MySpace friends in tune with his highly questionable past?

Even more disturbing is how Barry Pittard is dishonestly peddling himself as a “professor” in an upcoming documentary entitled Shadow of the Guru. Barry Pittard is openly allying himself with Joan Radha Bridges (the CEO & Executive Producer of the Shadow of the Guru documentary) who is openly into kinky, graphic, lesbian, goth and satanic imagery (mostly of a “pornographic kind”). To Date: Neither Barry Pittard or Robert Priddy have voiced a single complaint against Joan Radha Bridges and her kinky graphic, lesbian, goth and satanic imagery (mostly of a “pornographic kind”) on her MySpace page.

So when Barry Pittard and Robert Priddy complain about “photo attacks”, “diabolizing photo alterations”, “manipulated images” and “images of a pornographic kind” against Gerald Joe Moreno, they are putting on an unconvincing pseudo-moralistic performance in which hissy fits, finger pointing and pseudo-moral posturing are used to divert attention away from them and their gutter behaviors.

These are the types of hypocrites, moral degenerates, flip-floppers, pseudo-intellectuals and so-called “exposers” of Sathya Sai Baba. They are extremely adept in wagging their tongues but wholly inept in keeping their arguments and stories straight and consistent.

PhD Timothy Conway & Guru Ratings Sarlo

PhD Timothy Conway (a critic of Sathya Sai Baba) cited Sarlo (owner of the GuruRatings WebSite And Yahoo Group) as a notable person on his behalf. Tim Conway put the following quote from Sarlo on his enlightened-spirituality.org website:

“Timothy, you have a lot of ‘engaging’ things to say and it’s been my pleasure to post some of it [e.g., the Sun magazine interview on ‘Engaged Spirituality’ at the Guru Ratings website]. It’s great to learn you have a website now–it looks excellent and broad, already well developed, lots of good news. I’ll be happy to list you and link to your site. And i’ll announce it on my discussion forum. And if you don’t mind, i’ll link also to your ‘Warning signs of dysfunctional cults’ and ‘Criteria for Authentic Spiritual Realization’ pages from my ‘Other Approaches to Ratings Criteria’ page at www.globalserve.net/~sarlo/Critexpo2.htm, with a few samples. Your signs and criteria would be a worthy addition. –Sarlo, creator of the much-visited ‘Guru Ratings’ website at www.globalserve.net/~sarlo/Ratings.htm.”

For starters, Sarlo (who, for some mysterious reason, does not divulge his full name) is a Rajneesh / Osho devotee (and refers to him as “my Master”), started his spiritual journey (and had a decade-long love affair) with LSD and marijuana (Reference) and refers to himself as “Swami Deva Sarlo” (claiming he is a “master”, initiate and a “god”). “Swami” means ‘master’ (a title usually conferred on initiates belonging to the Osho cult) and “deva” means ‘god’, ‘angel’ or ‘divine being’.

Like Guruphiliac Jody Radzik, Sarlo believes that he is self-realized. As a matter of fact, in an article entitled “Sarlo Declares Enlightenment”, he said:

Gururatings Sarlo: “According to Osho, one of the biggest obstacles to enlightenment is peer-group jealousy. One’s friends will simply not accept that this trippy asshole has arrived at the ultimate fulfillment while they languish in darkness. I am prepared to meet this challenge head-on. The courage to brave my friends’ scorn has been bolstered by: a) the knowledge, from Phil 101, that you don’t exist; b) end-of-millennium urgency; c) the discovery of ordinariness as a way out/cover-up; d) any or all of the above.” (Reference)

One should rightly wonder why Rajneesh/Osho is listed on Sarlo’s subjective Guru-Ratings website as being one of the greatest Gurus ever to walk the Earth. I think there are many people who would take issue with such a claim. As a matter of fact, many people already have (Refs: 01 – 02 – 03 – 04 – 05 – 06 – 07).

Sarlo praised Jody’s Guruphiliac Blog as a “worthy project” and that he puts “the humourous bite on the usual guru excesses: money, sex, and power”. Ironically, Rajneesh’s excesses in money, sex and power are unparalleled in Gurudom (remember the 93 Rolls Royces?). Needless to say, Sarlo ignores the faults and failings of Osho (his “Master”) and ranks him as one of the greatest Gurus ever to walk the planet. Sarlo then has the audacity to point his self-righteous fingers at other Gurus and whine, snivel and lament about their faults and failings. Funny enough, Sarlo created a disclaimer page where he admitted that his bogus Guru-Ratings service is based on the subjective opinions of a layman (Reference).

So what did Jody Radzik have to say about Rajneesh/Osho? On his Guruphiliac Blog, Jody said:

Guruphliac Jody Radzik: “A tip of our tantric hat to Osho for his attempts to sustain such a large chakra-puja. Such wide scale transgression was certain to result in all kinds of transformation in the participants…But he had management problems and it all fell apart. We’re sorry we missed the fun.” (Reference)

Jody Radzik praised Osho’s sexual excesses as a large “chakra puja” (which is a tantric ritual that involves two to ten couples who engage in ritualized sexual activities, aka “an orgy”), dismissed Osho’s many faults and failings as “management problems” and expressed regret that he missed the fun! That’s right, sexual promiscuity, power-abuse, wealth and hedonism are things that Jody Radzik and Sarlo think are laudable, praiseworthy and serve as valid criteria to give high-ranking marks to Gurus whose feet they happen to kiss and adore. It is amusing that Jody and Sarlo both profess devotion to Gurus, yet trash and bash other Gurus as if they are free from the Guru-affliction they love to point out in others.

Amusingly, Timothy Conway wrote a highly critical article about Sarlo’s Guru, Rajneesh. Timothy Conway said he was under the impression that:

“Rajneesh was another shooting star in the spiritual firmament, one of those strange but rather numerous fallen yogis who attain some glimpses or periods of a certain kind of ‘enlightened freedom,’ open up to become a channel for some unusual and palpable energies (leading mesmerized disciples to think they are in the presence of Divinity), but then sooner or later such figures become imbalanced and egocentrically full of themselves–proud, megalomaniacal, narcissistic, and/or disturbed by one or more other mental-emotional-psychic pathologies.“ (Reference)

Attempting to get some cheap publicity on the Guruphiliac Blog and on the GuruRatings Website, Timothy Conway endorses, promotes and associates himself with Jody Radzik and Sarlo. Mr Conway found Sarlo and Jody to be so respectable, he listed their names and comments on his official website beside those of Jeff Eisen, Swami Abhayananda (Stan Trout), Steve Beckow, Dr. Peter Rohr, Mike Newton and Stuart Goodnick.

Robert Priddy Attended Sathya Sai Baba’s 670th Birthday Celebration!

Robert Priddy (a caustic critic and defamer of Sathya Sai Baba who once hailed the Guru as God Incarnate and thereby the Father who sent Jesus, Allah who sent Muhammad and the Creator of the Universe), claimed he attended Sathya Sai Baba’s 670th birthday celebration!

Robert Priddy is the same guy who boasts he is mentally sound with unimpaired memory. Gerald Joe Moreno has written extensively about Robert Priddy’s not-so-Priddy blunders, defamations and libels that seriously compromise his self-professed integrity.

For interested readers, Sathya Sai Baba is celebrating his 84th Birthday Celebration this year (2009), not his 684th Birthday Celebration (as would be alleged by Robert Priddy).

Passports – Lost And Found

Each one of us is in the very same situation. Any little accomplishment, any little deed is always supported by the unseen hand of our Beloved Lord. When I look back into the face of time, I find a rainbow of memories flashing before me. There is one thing I never failed throughout. It is the presence of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, saturated by His Love. Every moment is filled with His omnipresence, omnipotence and omniscience. However it is for us to recognize this truth A couple of years ago, my parents along with my brother and I were taking a walk down the shopping lanes of London where we intended to make our purchases. On our way out one of the supermarkets, my father accidentally happened to put his hand into his hand baggage and to our dismay he found all our passports missing!

We were initially panic stricken, but our faith in Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba removed all our fears. We searched all around the place, retracting our steps but there was no sign of any of our passports. My father went down the lane making inquiries, but none of them brought us anywhere close to our passports. My father finally decided to register the problem with the police and started looking out for police officer.

As he proceeded, a young Englishman whom he saw for the first time came straight to him and said. “You must be looking for the lost and found department. Sir it is right over there,” and gave him some landmark. My father walked into the office of the British cops, as he had been directed to. As he opened the door of the lost and found department, he saw the officer in-charge just placing all our passports in a bag. “Thank God”, his exclamation was enough to inform the officer that those passports belong to us.

Nevertheless he looked at my father with a smile and asked, “Are these your passports?” The answer of my father in the affirmative seemed to delight the officer and on being asked how the passports landed there, he said. “Didn’t you meet anyone on the way up?”

My father said that there wasn’t any one he met. But the officer was not satisfied. He went on and said that the man who gave the passports just left a few seconds before my father came in and he said that he was the owner of the shop. My father just posed one last question on his way out with passports. “How did he look like?” The reply to the question was enough to throw us back in our seats and start thinking. Every single description matched the splendor of our Beloved Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and we were deeply thankful for all that he had done for our family.

It was about nine months after that Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba appear in the dream of my father and confirmed His presence at London in a very unique way. The amount of concern Bhagavan has for each of us in much more than what the word concern literally means. The unfathomable ocean of His love goes far beyond our mind’s comprehension. There is a lot we students to learn from His actions, from His words and a lot to learn from His love.

We have to travel far beyond to be able to know actually how fortunate each of us is to be with Sathya Sai Baba. What we see of Him today is a very minute spectacle of what He actually is. Each one of us is on a long journey, “from us to ourselves” and we are immensely fortunate to have our goal. Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba as our guide. And on this journey, it is my constant prayer to Bhagavan that He be with us and guide us throughout so that I may be an instrument in His hands.

On a hot Sunday afternoon, Meera Grimes aka ‘Bala Meera’ Chandra receives you at the entrance of her spacious apartment on Poonamallee High Road, with a broad smile. For a moment, I remember those days when my family members would hurriedly complete the evening chores and rush to concerts and katha kalakshepams. One was child artist Bala Meera Chandra’s harikatha. I recall the discussions that would go on till late at night about her treatise on the subject that day, her charming looks, her abhinaya and her fantastic voice.

Over a hot cup of coffee, Bala Meera starts the conversation. “Harikatha encompasses storytelling, poetry, music, drama, dance and philosophy, and it is about God or about saints who had realised God. I owe it all to my mother Neela Balasubramaniam. She used to accompany my grandmother to Kadapa Lakshmi Amma to learn music, dance and harikatha. Lakshmi Amma is the first woman harikatha artist as far as I know. My grandmother and C. Saraswathi Bai provided her vocal support. Having lost her husband at an early age and due to the prevalent social stigma, Lakshmi Amma confined her performances to her house, and only women would be in attendance. My mother’s childhood dream of becoming a harikatha performer did not bear fruit. So, she was hell bent on making me one.”

Her arangetram

Bala Meera’s brothers were her accompanists and her cousins and aunts gave her vocal support. Her mother never missed her programmes.

Bala Meera’s voice sounds like the tinkle of a bell. She goes on “My mother taught music and dance to many children and as I watched them, it was but natural that I imbibed the art. Thuraiyur Rajagopala Sharma, an accomplished musician and harikatha exponent, volunteered to teach me the art of storytelling. His father Mahadeva Sharma had written a book on the various aspects of harikatha. The first piece I learnt was ‘Dhuruva Charithram’. My arangetram took place when I was 12. I was a student of Sarada Vidyalaya, T. Nagar, at that time. Offers started pouring in after that. Many sabhas, bhajan mandalis in the city and those in the districts provided plenty of opportunities. The training went on for about five years, and I learnt ‘Valli Kalyanam’, ‘Rukmini Kalyanam’ and many more pieces, expanding my repertoire in the process.”

Meeting a veteran

“Having heard about you, I wanted to see how a little girl in a skirt performs this art. That’s why I am here a day earlier. I am really proud of you and will help you hone your skills further,” was harikatha exponent Embar Vijayaraghavachariar’s comment when Bala Meera fell at his feet after her performance at Bangalore Ramani Ammal’s festival. Embar was to perform the next day. She reveres Embar a lot and values whatever she learnt from him.

A large photograph of a sanyasi in her drawing room attracts your attention. She explains, “That is Swami Remaji (Vaidyanathan) who was introduced to me by my mother when I had just finished SSLC. He taught me several bhajans of Surdas and Meerabai that he had set to music. He was an expert in all genres of music, be it Carnatic, Hindustani or Western classical. A nuclear physicist at the Cambridge University, he renounced life to propound a new philosophy. He was my spiritual guru. Before he passed away, he bequeathed to me all his writings running to several thousands of pages. I am in the process of bringing them out as a book.”

The prefix ‘Bala Meera’ got attached to her name when she performed Meera bhajans in the presence of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in a village in Rajasthan. A large number of people had gathered there to donate gold equivalent to the weight of Nehruji for the National Defence Fund. “Patting my cheek and appreciating my performance, Nehruji said, ‘So you are the Bala Meera performing Meera bhajans.’ That was in 1963, and from then on I came to be known as ‘Bala Meera’ Chandra.”

She rates her harikatha performance on the 30 saints in 30 days at Sai Samaj, Mylapore, as one of her best. ‘Krishna Rathna Thrayam’ taught to her by Swami Remaji was another pet subject.

Performing alongside the women trinity M.S., MLV and DKP at a Tiruttani festival got her an opportunity to perform at The Music Academy, on the request of T.L. Venkatrama Iyer. Dr. V. Raghavan helped her get a scholarship from the Academy to learn Lalithopakyanam under the tutelage of Mahadeva Bhagavatar. In the process, she learnt many Dikshitar kritis.

Academic life

“As I was busy with my concerts, harikatha and dance programmes, I did B.A. privately. After obtaining a Diploma in music and dance, I went on to do my Masters at the University of Madras. That’s where I met John Grimes of the U.S., who was doing research. He was deeply into Indian philosophy and wanted to marry an Indian who would help him in his journey. That’s how we got married, with the blessings of the elders and Sri Sathya Sai Baba of whom he was an ardent devotee.” The bookshelf in their house is full of John’s books on Indian philosophy, including a treatise on Adi Sankara’s Viveka Choodamani.

Shifting base to the U.S. after her marriage, Bala Meera continued her performances there. Due to ill health, she cut down on the number of performances. Unable to bear her daughter’s ill health, her mother Neela passed away suddenly. “I never thought that I would be able to perform again. But by God’s Grace, I am still performing, but am limiting it to chambers and smaller crowds.”

Her book ‘Harikatha’, that covers Samartha Ramadas’ contribution to art of spiritual story telling, is what she considers her best contribution to this art. She says Samartha Ramadas is the father of harikatha for it was he who codified it logically into a structure. The spiritual guru of Chatrapathi Shivaji, he travelled to South India and established maths in Thanjavur when it was ruled by Shivaji’s step brother Ekoji. That’s how harikatha spread in the South.

Bala Meera also hails Thanjavur Krishna Bhagavathar, who was a violin vidwan for harikatha performances then, as the father of harikatha kalakshepam, for he adopted it to suit this part of the country. “Nonetheless, Samartha Ramadas’ ‘Dasa Bhodha’ is the ultimate book on harikatha and its grammar,” she says assertively.

Kevin R.D. Shepherd And ‘The Guardian’ Article About Sai Baba

Further strengthening the case that Kevin R.D. Shepherd is a biased and shabby writer with remedial researching skills is the fact that Kevin R. D. Shepherd referenced a poorly written article by Paul Lewis in The Guardian UK Newspaper entitled The Indian Living God, The Paedophilia Claims And The Duke Of Edinburgh Awards. Oddly enough, Kevin Shepherd made no mention to the Anti-Sai Activist Sanjay Kishore Dadlani who publicly boasted on a QuickTopic forum that The Guardian article was the direct result of collaboration between himself, Anti-Sai Activists and Paul Lewis. Paul Lewis’ biased Anti-Sai newspaper article was in planning for six months. Here are Sanjay’s comments fully acknowledging that the newspaper article against Sathya Sai Baba was a premeditated, concerted and deliberate Anti-Sai-Baba hack job:

Sanjay Dadlani: “Want to talk about blindness? I warned you fools about this months ago, but you’re way too thick to pick up the hints. I even warned you months in advance about the BBC movie, and you were too thick to pick up the hints about that too. Nothing has changed even two years later. :-)” (Reference)

Indeed, on April 24th 2006, Sanjay Kishore Dadlani specifically gave a warning about a coming Anti-Sai exposure in November regarding the UK Sai Youth Group traveling to Puttaparthi and sexual abuse claims. On the SSB2 Yahoo Group, Sanjay said:

Sanjay Dadlani: “Sai Baba, male-rapist extraordinaire, has been drooling for TWO YEARS expecting the entire UK Youth contingent to travel to Puttaparthi and satisfy his perverted sexual cravings. It’s all going down this November. Details to follow” (Reference).

Just as Sanjay Dadlani predicted, come November (six months later), Paul Lewis published an article in The Guardian newspaper about (you guessed it) the UK Sai Youth Group traveling to Puttaparthi and sexual abuse claims. Coincidence? I think not.

Perhaps the reason why Kevin Shepherd never mentioned Sanjay Dadlani is because Sanjay is a proven pervert and defamer of others. Anti-Sai Activists (including Shepherd’s friend and co-conspirator Robert Priddy) see absolutely nothing wrong with Sanjay Dadlani’s homosexual-fantasizing slurs, Jesus Sex Fetish and Boot Sex Fetish. Although Sanjay went around secretly stalking innocent women (calling them “bitches” and “sluts”, saying “they want it”, calling Mothers “MILFs”, photographing females and teenagers up their dresses and under tables and publishing these photos on his streetbitches blog), Anti-Sai Activists and Robert Priddy are right there holding hands with Sanjay Dadlani, promoting and endorsing him on their Anti-Sai blogs and websites.

Sanjay even posted on the QuickTopic Forum (using multiple fake names, including female names) and made disgusting comments under the name “Marquis de Sade”, even duplicating a post about a Priest ejaculating on the face of a little girl, as related by her brother. Sanjay even posted under the name “kick his head in” and said that someone should murder Sathya Sai Baba (of course, this is the same guy who rejoiced when a Sai Baba temple was bombed).

These are the type of people that Anti-Sai Activists utilize to further their smear and hate campaigns against Sai Baba. Don’t expect Kevin R.D. Shepherd (a staunch moralist and purist) to mention these facts.

Although Kevin Shepherd correctly cited The Guardian when it accurately reported that Sathya Sai Baba has never been charged with any crime, he attempted to whitewash the issue by claiming without proof that there is uncritical “support for the guru in India, where socially prominent devotees staunchly uphold his claims to divine status”. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Once again, alleged victims have never attempted to file a basic police complaint against Sathya Sai Baba in India, let alone a court case. Therefore, the fact that Sathya Sai Baba has never been charged with any crime is the direct result of the apathy and non-credibility of alleged victims (who refused the offer of free “world-class legal resources” to bring Sathya Sai Baba to justice).

In The Guardian article, Paul Lewis (despite researching the subject for six months) gave an incorrect age for Sathya Sai Baba and misrepresented the former US State Department warning in the exact manner as Kevin Shepherd and Anti-Sai Activists have done. USP Says Blood Drive A Success

A large number of students and staff turned out for the University of the South Pacific’s blood drive at the Laucala Campus in Suva.

Organisers said they were surprised at the “strong” attendance. Sister Salaseini Boletawa of the USP medical centre said about 60 people turned up during the first four hours.

“The response from the university staff and students has been great and we expect about 20 to 30 more people to donate blood in the remaining hour,” she said.

The blood drive was held from midday till 5pm yesterday at the medical centre.

The medical centre also took advantage of the blood drive, and used video documentaries to educate donors on communicable, non-communicable and sexually transmitted diseases, and the preventative measures that could be taken.

The drive was joint effort between USP, the Fiji National Blood Service and the USP youth wing of Sathya Sai Service Organisation of Fiji.

Ex-Devotees Of Sathya Sai Baba have attempted to assert Robert Priddy’s notability by citing a reference made to him in the following book:

Ex-Devotees alleged:

“According to Kevin Shepherd, the former national leader of the Sathya Sai movement in Norway Robert Priddy expressed the opinion that Sathya Sai Baba was an accomplice to the 1993 murders, among others based on information given to him by his friend V.K. Narasimhan.”

First of all, V.K. Narasimhan was a staunch Sai Devotee to his death and exclusively referred to Sathya Sai Baba as “Bhagavan” (i.e., “God”) and “Lord”. As a matter of fact, V.K. Narasimhan wrote about Sathya Sai Baba (in Sanathana Sarathi, Special Issue, November 1999) about 3 months before he died and this is how he introduced his article:

“There are certain periods in the history of mankind when the mortal beings of this earth witness epoch-making divine events with their own eyes. By far the most astounding event of this century is the Advent of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.” (Reference)

V.K. Narasimhan wrote two favorable books about Sathya Sai Baba and not only referred to the Guru as “Lord”, he also compared the Guru with Mahatma Ghandi and Lord Krishna:

Therefore, Robert Priddy’s claims about Sri V.K.N. are highly suspect and wholly unbelievable.

Secondly, there are absolutely no online references about Kevin R.D. Shepherd’s qualifications, notability, personal information, credentials or schooling. There are also no media articles or University references to Kevin Shepherd although his books have been published as far back as 1983. The reason for this is probably because all of Kevin R.D. Shepherd’s books are self-published.

Kevin Shepherd’s books were published by the publisher “Citizen Initiative” (Dorchester, Dorset, United Kingdom), which is not listed on booktrust’s UK publishers. The only books published by “Citizen Initiative” (utilizing an advanced search on Google for “citizen initiative” + “publisher(s)” / “publishing” / “publication(s)”) are those belonging to Shepherd, Kevin. No other books have been published by “Citizen Initiative”.

I contacted the University of Sheffield UK (regarding “Citizen Initiative” and Kevin Shepherd) by email and Mrs. Barringer said:

“Sorry – have never heard of them and can find no trace in any lists of publishers.”

I also contacted booktrust.org (regarding “Citizen Initiative” and Kevin Shepherd) by email and Mr. Smith said:

“I have never heard of Citizen Initiative, but their titles – almost exclusively written by Kevin Shepherd – are listed on the Nielsen BookData database of books in print. CI also appears to act as a distributor for titles published by Anthropographia Publications (again, these books are all by Mr Shepherd), Philosophical Press and New Media Books Ltd.”

“Anthropographia” and “Philosophical” publications are other publishers that are in exclusive association with Kevin Shepherd (publishing no other books by no other authors).

Why does Robert C. Priddy express so much fascination and intrigue with alleged “genital oilings” when he knows absolutely nothing about them except from what he’s heard through others?

Since Robert C. Priddy never received a so-called “genital oiling” from Sathya Sai Baba, why does he present himself as a proxy authority on “genital oilings”? The few alleged victims who claimed they received “oilings” are nowhere to be found, are completely silent on the issue and have since long disappeared from the internet scene. Why is Robert C. Priddy foaming at the mouth, raising a huge wail, gnashing his teeth and acting as a proxy spokesperson for alleged victims when he has no direct experience of what he alleges to be “irrefutably true”? Robert C. Priddy’s homoerotic assumptions, homoerotic speculations and homoerotic conspiracies about “genital oilings” arise solely from his groin and not from any first-hand experience. Robert C. Priddy is not credible and cannot be trusted to accurately or honestly relay details about alleged “genital oilings” because he openly fabricated a “genital oiling” account against Gerald Joe Moreno (and adamantly refuses to print a retraction).

The more Robert C. Priddy drools, squirms and obsesses over alleged “genital oilings”, the more one wonders why Robert C. Priddy is so thoroughly fascinated by that topic. More importantly, one is left to wonder why the parents to all of these alleged “victims” have never (ever) filed a single public grievance, basic police complaint or court case in India against the Guru.

Robert C. Priddy not only acts as a proxy spokesperson for alleged victims, he also acts as a “proxy guardian” because alleged victim’s mothers and fathers have all (without exception) failed in their moral, ethical and legal duties by ignoring the alleged molestations of their children. The reason why Robert C. Priddy does not shut up is because if he did, the silence would be deafening because no one else besides critics are making all the fuss.

Ex-Devotees (including Robert C. Priddy) ceaselessly reference the alleged credibility of Ullrich Zimmermann (a German ex-devotee of Sathya Sai Baba and current devotee of the alleged 35,000 year-old Lemurian Warrior and Ascended Master “Ramtha”). Although Ullrich Zimmermann made several unbelievable and graphic claims about Sathya Sai Baba (which he originally recalled while drunk at a Ramtha “wine ceremony”), Ullrich Zimmermann related an alleged oiling experience that was completely and wholly non-sexual.

According to Ullrich Zimmermann, Sathya Sai Baba rubbed materialized oil down the “kundalini line” on his chest and was instantaneously and miraculously cured of a chronic breathing ailment due to too much smoking. Although Ullrich Zimmermann apparently had nothing to hide and divulged alleged “tantric” experiences with the Guru, his only alleged “oiling” experience never involved his pubic region or genitals and he never had his pants pulled down.

Since Robert C. Priddy believes Ullrich Zimmermann (despite bashing and trashing channelers, mediums and New Age believers as belonging to the “lunatic fringe” seen in cults, ashrams and New Religious Movements), one is left to wonder why Robert Priddy ceaselessly fantasizes about “genital oilings” when Ullrich Zimmermann (who apparently had nothing to hide) described his “oiling” to be wholly and completely non-sexual. As a matter of fact, Ullrich Zimmermann’s mother is still a Sai Devotee and apparently felt that her son’s alleged encounters with Sathya Sai Baba were just as miraculous and wonderful as he described them to be. Ullrich Zimmermann even claimed that his alleged “white tantric” experiences with Sathya Sai Baba were “honors” conferred upon him (which made the person filming Zimmermann’s account gasp out loud)!

In conclusion, Robert C. Priddy needs to shut up and let the alleged victims and their mothers and fathers talk for themselves. The fact that alleged victims and their mothers and fathers are not talking strongly suggests that Sathya Sai Baba did nothing wrong. Robert C. Priddy should take his gripes to the parents of alleged victims and should be castigating them for ignoring their children’s alleged molestations.

Sathya Sai Baba has never (ever) been charged with any crime, sexual or otherwise and critics cannot provide a scintilla of credible or verifiable information to the contrary.
